March 24, 2004
A light has gone out in the world. Kristy Kobylarz, age 32 was taken from us on March 24, 2004, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, following a long illness.
She was the cherished daughter of Edward and Julianna (Shaffler) Kobylarz of the Honey Pot section of Nanticoke, born on November 16, 1971, in Kingston and was devoted to her family and friends.
She was a graduate of John S. Fine High School, Nanticoke, class of 1989 and attended Luzerne County Community College. She was also a member of Holy Trinity Church, Nanticoke.
Prior to her illness, she was employed at Mercy Health Care Center, Sheatown, Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital and Bayada Home Care as a Certified Nursing Assistant for approximately 16 years.
Throughout her youth, she was active with the Girl Scouts and was awarded the Gold Award, the highest award in Girl Scouting. Also, she was a member of the Nanticoke Eagles Teener Softball team. But despite her illness, she maintained her sense of humor and upbeat attitude and touched the hearts of all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Veronica and Frank Kobylarz; Josephine & Bolish Shaffler.

Mom and Dad Kobylarz

March 28, 2004

Our Dearest Kristy, We are thankful for having a wonderful daughter like you for the time that God had given us. Your illness brought us closer to you as we were able to spend more time with you ,but it makes your leaving harder to bear. We know that you are free now from the constraints of your body and can move freely again. We send an eternity of love to you.

Taken before her time, beloved daughter, sister, and friend.

The world will not be the same without Kristy. A light as strong as hers can never be extinguished. She is an angel watching over us forever. The love and compassion she has shown through her whole life will always be remembered.

I love you Kristy, rest in peace my friend
