Lois A. Baranowski, 75, passed away Sept. 26, 2025, at home, surrounded by her loving siblings.
"Sissie," as she was known to her family, was born Jan. 27, 1950, to the late Ed and Rose Levandowski Baranowski. She was a graduate of Hanover Memorial High School, Class of 1968. She was a hard worker and was employed by various plants in the area, including RCA Corporation and Trion Industries.
Lois was an avid Raiders football fan and Dodgers baseball fan, going all the way back to the Brooklyn Dodgers. She collected stamps, Disney VHS tapes, and her famous turtle collection, which boasted some 250 turtles. She enjoyed "Yatzee," doing jigsaw puzzles and loved her television shows, sometimes watching late into the night.
She will be remembered by her family and friends as a good person who could be counted on for a good laugh or a helping hand.
Left to cherish her memories are brothers, John Baranowski (Jeri), of Reading, and Joe Baranowski (Nancy), of Dallas, and a sister, Ann Rose Deputy (Ron), of Bear Creek. Lois and Anna had a special bond that only sisters can share. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.
Her family would like to thank Dr. Kerrigan and Dr. Saidman, as well as the staff at Allied Skilled Nursing, Center City and Allied Hospice, for taking such good care of Lois.
Funeral services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday from Dinelli Family Funeral Home, 170 E. Broad St., Nanticoke, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Faustina Kowalska Parish, 520 S. Hanover St., Nanticoke with the Rev. Paul Yeboah, as celebrant.
Viewing and visitation hours will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Private interment will be at a later date in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Lois' memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Dear John, Joe and Anna and Family,
I want to express my sincere regrets in the loss of your sister, sister-in-law and Aunt.
Lois and I had been friends for 60 years. We kept in touch by letters and phone conversations, sometimes months would go by when letters were exchanged and brief conversations and visits were far and in between. We never forgot one another's birthday nor Christmas cards. We remained friends never-the-less. I feel a void and loss, too. I had prayed she didn't suffer and hoped the pain was manageable. I know she is at peace now and I know she is in the arms of our Lord. May you all be relieved of her suffering.
With my condolences I will always remember her as my dear old friend.
