Lorraine Tryba Obituary

HANOVER GREEN — Lorraine C. Tryba, 76, of Hanover Green, passed away at Whitestone in Greensboro, North Carolina, on Thursday, Dec. 4, 2014.

She was born to the late Aloysius and Mary Kraynak on November 1, 1938. Lorraine was a graduate of Plymouth High School and attended Wilkes-Barre Business College. She worked at Martz Trailways, Hanover Area School District and retired from Luzerne County Children and Youth.

She was a member of Wyoming Valley Country Club for decades and a longtime member of Exaltation of the Holy Cross Church, Hanover Green, where she served as a CCD instructor, altar caretaker and eucharistic minister.

Lorraine was preceded in death by her husband and love of her life, Thomas John Tryba; brothers, Aloysius and James.

She is survived by sons, Thomas Jr., Hanover Green, and Ted, Orlando, Florida; daughters, Tammie Robbins and her husband, Donald, Wyoming, and Teri Lynn Braun and her husband, Jeffrey, Kernersville, North Carolina; grandchildren, Tiffany, Felicia, Thomas "TJ" III, Tegan; one great-grandchild; brothers, Richard Kraynak, Larksville, Gary Kraynak, Plymouth, and David Kraynak, St. Petersburg, Florida

Dear Tryba family,
I was a childhood neighbor of Lorraine on Conrad Lane in Pymouth, PA and graduated with her in the Class of '57 from Plymouth High. We renewed our friendship at several high school reunions. My wife, Ann, and I offer our sincerest condolences to you at this time of sorrow. We will remember "Lutzy" in our prayers.

My sincere condolences to the Tryba family on the loss of such a beautiful person. I still retain fond memories of my classmate and friend from high school. I don't know why we insisted on calling her "Lutzy" even though we all knew that that was her brother's nickname. She had a similar talent for art, and we spent many happy hours together in art class. She was and is, a very special lady! Memories eternal!
