Lucia Z Klein, 77, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away peacefully Saturday, Oct. 11, 2025, surrounded by her loving family in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the late Thaddeus A and Gertrude R (Bogdan) Zabiegalski. She was a 1966 graduate of Nanticoke High School and in 1969 earned her Registered Nurse credentials from Wilkes-Barre General Hospital School of Nursing.
She had a long career in nursing, working at both the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital and former Mercy Hospital, Wilkes-Barre, until her retirement.
She will be sadly missed by her husband of 51 years, Robert W Klein; brother, Thaddeus D Zabiegalski (Frances); a niece, Amy; and nephew, David.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday from Daniel J Hughes Funeral & Cremation Service, 617 Carey Ave., Wilkes-Barre.
Interment will follow in Albert Cemetery, Mountain Top.
Family and friends will gather from 9:30 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.
