SHICKSHINNY — Margaret "Peggy" Meade, 89, of Shickshinny, passed away on Saturday morning, Feb. 17, 2018, at Elmcroft of Berwick.
She was born Oct. 29, 1928, the daughter of the late Russell V. and Katherine Sutliff Bilby.
She was a graduate of Shickshinny High School and Nesbitt Memorial Hospital Nursing School. She was a member of the Reyburn Bible Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald, and a sister, Audrey Rood.
Surviving are her son, Donald G. and his wife, Donna, of Berwick; daughter, Carol Kliamovich and her husband, David, of Hunlock Creek; granddaughter, Sara Kliamovich, of Baltimore, Md.; step grandchildren, Kimberly Washko, of Swiftwater, Doug Besecker, of Stroudsburg, Nicole Kresge, of Henryville; six step great-grandchildren, two step great-great-grandchildren, and a sister, Nancy Reider and her husband, Harold, of Clarksville, Md.
Peggy's family would like to thank the wonderful staff and nurses of Elmcroft of Berwick, and Commonwealth Home Health and Hospice of Berwick for the loving care shown to her over the years.
Funeral services will be held at noon Tuesday from the Charles L. Cease Funeral Home, 634 Reyburn Rd., Shickshinny, with the Rev. C. Glenn Neely of the Reyburn Bible church officiating.
Interment will be in Bloomingdale Cemetery, Ross Township.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until time of service Tuesday.
