Margaret Sadowski Obituary
Margaret M. Sadowski, 77, of West Enterprise Street, Glen Lyon, passed away Monday morning, August 23, 2010, at Hospice Community Care, Inpatient Unit, Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre. She was born in Glen Lyon on May 7, 1933, a daughter of the late Stephen and Anna (Kulakowski) Domashinski. Margaret graduated from Newport Township High School, Class of 1951. She was a life-long resident of Glen Lyon, and a member of Holy Spirit Parish, Glen Lyon. Margaret was a member of the Civil Air Patrol. She enjoyed puzzles and painting ceramics. She was an avid Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins fan. Margaret was a wonderful mother, grandmother and friend. She had a great personality and got along with everyone she met. Many people who knew her affectionately gave her the nickname "Mom." She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Edward A. Sadowski, who passed away in 2004. Surviving are two daughters, Linda Fiedor and her husband, Richard, Manassas, Va., and Cynthia Sadowski, Miners Mills; two sons, Stephen Sadowski and his wife, Ann Marie, Scranton, and Mark Sadowski, Hanover Township; one granddaughter, Gulnara Sadowski, Scranton, as well as her two favorite cats, Hootie and Princess. Funeral services for Margaret will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday from the George A. Strish Inc. Funeral Home, 211 W. Main St., Glen Lyon, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in Holy Spirit Parish, Market Street, Glen Lyon. Interment will be held in St. Michael's Cemetery, Glen Lyon. Relatives and friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday.
