Mary Vent

M ary (Grazious) Vent, 93, of Old Forge, died Monday at the Taylor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Taylor. Her husband, Patrick, died in 1959.
Born October 3, 1912, in Old Forge, she was a daughter of the late Vito and Jennie (Mordent) Grazious. She was educated in the Old Forge Public Schools.
Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a restaurant hostess in Miami, Fla., for many years and later at Pocono Manor and Aldino’s Restaurant, Taylor.
She was the oldest living member of the Felitesse Association and a member of St. Mary’s of the Assumption Church, Old Forge.
She was a kind and caring person to everyone she met. It gave her great pleasure to cook for her family. Mary will lovingly be remembered by all her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Anthony, Carmen, Phillip and Fiore; two sisters, Concetta Grazious and Virginia Koval; and her niece and godchild, Connie Kmiec.
She is survived by her niece and caregiver, JoAnn Graziano, and nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s of the Assumption Church, W. Grace and Lawrence St., Old Forge. Interment will be at Old Forge Cemetery. A private viewing for family members will be conducted prior to the Mass service. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary’s of the Assumption Church, 123 W. Grace St., Old Forge, PA 18518.
Funeral arrangements are by the Louis V. Ciuccio Funeral Home, 145 Moosic Road, Old Forge.
