Matthew Petrosky Obituary
HANOVER TWP. — Matthew R. Petrosky, 29, passed away suddenly on Feb. 1, 2022 at his home in Hanover Township.
Matthew was born on June 24, 1992, son of Robert and Harriet Petrosky.
Matthew graduated from Hanover High School.
In 2011 he went to LCCC where he received an Associate Degree in Accounting and Business. He then worked at Sears, until their closing, and then for Coremark and FedEx.
Matthew was loved by all who knew him. He was a smart and caring person who would help anyone. Matthew was an avid Eagles fan and loved to play pool on Saturdays with his dad, brother and friends; it was a weekly tradition. He enjoyed watching Eagles games on Sundays with Robbie and Stross. (Dad had to work.)
Matt truly loved to hang with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Harry and Lottie Shultz, parental grandparents Frank and Sarah Petrosky, Uncle Frank, his dogs Spike, and two weeks ago, Roxy.
He is survived by his loving parents Robert and Harriet Shultz Petrosky, brother Robbie and his girlfriend Angel, his cats Shade and Ms. Betty, aunts, uncles, cousins and all of his good friends.
A memorial visitation will be held 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday from the Earl W. Lohman Funeral Home Inc., 14 W. Green Street, Nanticoke.
Visitors are requested to wear something purple in Matthew's honor.

Words can´t express how much we miss you. There has been so many things I wanted to share with you, talk about, and enjoy with you this past year. Countless times I wanted to pick up my phone to call you or send you a text about something whether it was a funny meme, something about our Eagles or to go shoot a few games of pool. The closer we were getting to today the harder it was. It´s no wonder I had a dream about you a couple of nights ago. I hugged you tight, I told you we love you so much and how much we miss you. That hug was everything and I know it was your way of letting me know it´s going to be ok. We love you Matty. It´s hard to believe it´s been a year when it still feels like yesterday but I feel your presence around me and your love and light in my heart everyday. I miss you bro... more than the world. Go Birds!

To say you will be dearly missed forever is an understatement. It´s been hard to find words to describe this loss when it still doesnt even seem real. You were always the little brother I never had and I´ll cherish our adventures and memories for as long as I live. Thank you for always being there for us and for being the one to usher Mojo into our life on earth as well as into the next I know in my heart you´re snuggling him and Roxy in paradise. Our hearts our in a million pieces we lost Roxy then a week later my sweet baby boy and then a few days later Robbie beloved cat mojo. We know there in good hands and that ur in good hands to with nana who we lost in July. But we can´t stop crying cause nothing gonna b same. On February 1st the world lost one of the most kind hearted and brightest souls on the planet. I can´t even begin describe the pain and heartache our family is going through right now. You were an incredibly talented, smart, funny and most importantly caring person. You had your whole life ahead of you and I couldn´t wait to share the journey with you. I have loved you from the moment mom and dad brought you home from the hospital. I remember that day like it was yesterday. I´m going to miss you so.. so much. The world will never be the same again, I lost more than my brother I also lost my best friend. Please watch over us and take care of mom and dad right now because the need you now more than ever. Rest easy Matty. We all love you very, very much. Take care of Spike and Roxy for us and if Heaven has pool, save us table.
