WILKES-BARRE — Michael J. Pinkoski, 56, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2023 in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
Born in Kingston, Michael was the son of the late Ronald J. and Rosalee B. Kotarski Pinkoski. He was a graduate of Wyoming Valley West High School, and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from King's College in chemistry. Prior to his retirement he was employed as a chemist by the Kirby Memorial Health Center, Wilkes-Barre.
Michael loved to travel, especially his trips to England and Las Vegas, and he relished his vacations to the Outer Banks, North Carolina. Michael was a fan of the Phillies, Minnesota Vikings, and all motor sports. He enjoyed watching and playing golf, and was a soccer enthusiast. Michael will be remembered for being the best dog sitter.
Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, was a sister, Angela M. Pinkoski, in 1994. Surviving are his brother and sisters: Stephanie Hogan and her companion, Don Rorick, Wilkes-Barre; Ronald J. Pinkoski, Jr. and his wife, Traycie, Chesapeake, Va.; Melissa A. Heely, and her husband, Jack, Willow Grove; Rebecca A. Pinkoski, Kingston; nephew, Ronald J. Pinkoski III and nieces: Samantha and Danica Pinkoski, all of Chesapeake, Va.; aunt, Geraldine Larkin, Kingston; uncle, Stephen Wolinsky, Plymouth; and several cousins.
Friends and relatives are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 5 to 8 p.m., Monday, May 22, at Hugh P. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, Inc., 416 Wyoming Avenue, Kingston. Funeral and interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
