Nancy (French) Walsh, 95, passed away peacefully Feb. 15, 2025.
Born in Kingston, Pa., to Cornelius and Anna French, she was raised and resided in Forty Fort, Pa., for most of her life. She graduated from Forty Fort High School, and worked as a resident assistant at Heritage House Assisted Living, in Kingston, before retiring. Nancy enjoyed reading, traveling, and cleaning (keeping a meticulous household). She was a long-term member of Holy Name Church (and now St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish). She resided in Boston, Mass., during the past several years to be close to family.
Nancy is survived by her son, Thomas (Ellen): sister, Barbara; grandchildren: Joseph, Robert, Sophia, Amelia, and Bryce: great-grandson, Myles; and several beloved nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jack; sisters: Ruth (Boyle) and Beth Ann (Seifert); and son, Neil.
Family are invited to a private viewing from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Hugh B. Hughes & Sons Funeral Home, 1044 Wyoming Ave., Forty Fort.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 116 Hughes St., Swoyersville. Interment will be held at St. Mary's Cemetery, Wilkes-Barre, following the Mass.
