Oreste Dapas Obituary
Oreste Dapas, 84, formerly of New Jersey, and recently of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Saturday morning, August 28, 2010, in Hospice VNA, Heritage House, Wilkes-Barre. Born in Italy, he was the son of the late Antonio and Pasqua Dapas. He worked as a machinist for AEP Manufacturing Co. for more than 35 years. He was a member of his church choir at his home in Lodi, N.J. Preceding him in death were his wife, Mac Birch Dapas; and his son, Anthony Dapas, in 2008. Surviving are his daughter-in-law, Mina Dapas; a grandson, Brain Dapas; and a granddaughter Patricia Dapas, all of Wilkes-Barre. Funeral services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday from the Straub Kane Funeral Home, 55 Park Ave., Wilkes-Barre. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.

A well pleased man, husband, father, and grandpa. He meant the world to his family in every single way but God wanted him up in heaven and even though he is leaving his beloved family who will deeply miss him, will be in a better place with God.
