Pauline Shinal Obituary

Pauline A. Shinal, 92, a resident of The Gardens at Monroe, of Monroe Township, New Jersey, died Sunday, May 11, 2008.
She was born October 24, 1915, in Grant Town, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Adolph Frank and Helen Stasulis Syrieka. She attended public schools and was a member of Our Lady of Mount Virgin Catholic Church, Middlesex, N.J.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Adam A. Shinal, in 1989 and by brothers, Walter and Joseph Syrieka and by sisters, Agnes Zabolotny, Helen Shenloski and Blanche Vishneski.
Surviving are a son, Francis A. Shinal and his wife, Patricia Gail, The Villages, Fla.; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; brother; Stanley Syrieka, Ohio; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 15, 2008, at 10 a.m. in the Chapel at St. Mary’s Cemetery, 1594 South Main Street, Hanover Township, with Monsignor Thomas V. Banick officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
Arrangements entrusted to Nat and Gawlas Funeral Home, 89 Park Avenue, Wilkes-Barre.
