Phillip J. Gorham, of Sugar Notch, passed away Friday, Nov. 28, 2025, in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of the late Anthony and Margaret Smith Gorham and was a graduate of Ashley Sugar Notch High School. He was a proud union iron worker as a member of the former Iron workers Local 489, where he served on the executive board and other offices. He was a member of the Iron workers Local 404 and a life member of the Sugar Notch Conservation Club. Phil was also a member of St. Leo the Great Church in Ashley and member of the Ashley American Legion.
Phil found joy in the outdoors and cherished time spent hunting and fishing. He especially treasured traveling across the country with his wife, creating countless memories along the way.
In addition to his parents, Phil was preceded in death by his brother, Anthony Gorham Jr.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Maire (Maura) Collins Gorham, and many extended family members.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday in St. Leo the Great Church, 33 Manhattan St., Ashley, with the Rev. Vincent Dang officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 10 a.m. until time of Mass in the church.
