Ramon Santini "Ray" Saul

Ramon Santini “Ray” Saul, 82, of 201 Berner Ave., Hazleton, passed away Tuesday morning at his home.
Born in Hazleton, he was a son of the late Santini and Genevieve (DeJoseph) Saul and was a member of Holy Rosary Church, Hazleton.
He was a Navy Veteran of World War II and retired from the Navy Reserves as a Lieutenant Commander.
He was a Hazleton High School Graduate, class of 1943, and a Penn State graduate, class of 1950.
Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, was his wife in 2005, the former Nellie Avillion; and daughter-in-law Lisa Occhiolini in 2007.
Surviving are his children, Gregory Saul and his fiancée, Susan Buehler, King of Prussia; and Janet Curilla and her husband, William, Hazleton; grandchildren Genevieve and Jeffrey Saul and William Curilla Jr., and Jaclyn Curilla; sisters, Rose Marie Bereznak and her husband, Thomas, Hazleton, and Catherine Yedlock and her husband, Frank, Hazleton; brother Dennis Saul, Hazleton; and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday at 10 a.m. in Holy Rosary Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Drums. Friends may call at the Joseph A. Moran Funeral Home, 229 W. 12th St., Hazleton, on Friday, from 6 to 9 p.m.
