I just found out about Dr Benoit’s passing and I'm deeply saddened by the news. He was my doctor for many many years, I followed him from the Noxen clinic to Dallas to Kingston and back, but when he moved his practice out of the area I was unable to go with him. I was never able to find a new doctor that I could count on or that was as caring as him. I thought many times about trying to get in touch with him but I never did. I always thought I would eventually run into him and if not I had time to do it another day. I greatly regret not trying to contact him.

My thoughts are with the family, he will be greatly missed!

I met Dr. Benoit through a friend

when i moved to the area in 1994.

Since then he has been my doctor and my friend. Rich was the most down to earth doctor I have ever met. He always made you feel at ease. In the past few years I have been able to go motorcycle riding with him and just hang out and talk. His sudden death was a big shock to me and I will miss him very much. My condolences go out to his family. We all miss you Rich and I hope you are free and riding through the clouds with the wind in your face. See you on the other side.

Your Friend and Bro,

I have always held my friend, Richard Benoit, in the highest esteem. He was a man who knew right from wrong,, and who knew love. An indomitable spirit really, his hearty laugh, spicy humor, and constant kindness and generosity, set him apart. Inside of a raucous joke here and there, was a humble man, who paid honor to many others in word and deed. He was dedicated to his work. And he never failed to mention his devotion to his 2 children, whom he adored more than himself. He spoke of them nearly every time we met together. He sacrificed himself for his parents, whom he brought to Pennsylvania to live near to him when they were ill, and brought warmth to those who knew him well. There was a great love of life in this man. May God bless him.

I am a fellow graduate of Wagner College on Staten Island and although I did not know Dr.Benoit personally, our paths may have crossed several times "on the Hill" at Wagner or in our daily travels in the back mountain. My deepest sympathy goes out to his family, friends and associates.
