Richard Drobish Obituary
HANOVER TWP. — Richard F. Drobish, of Hanover Township, passed away Wednesday, May 9, 2018, at Celtic Hospice Inpatient Unit at Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre.
Born May 12, 1954, in Wilkes-Barre, he was a son of the late Frank and Florence Olszewski Drobish.
Rich was a 1972 graduate of GAR Memorial High School, Wilkes-Barre, and a 1974 graduate of Luzerne County Community College.
He worked as a laborer at various jobs over the years and was an avid fisherman.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Nancy Hamlon.
Surviving is his son, Rich Drobish, of Kingston; daughter Kerri Drobish, of Luzerne; grandchildren Veronica Drobish and Deklan Reznick; sisters Dorothy Rizzo, of Little Egg Harbor, N.J., Roberta Doolin, of Leavenworth, Kan., Mary Ellen Rebo, of Plains, and Jane Politz and her husband, Michael, of Shickshinny; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Jendrzejewski Funeral Home, 21 N. Meade St., Wilkes-Barre. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Maternity Cemetery, West Wyoming. Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. Tuesday until time of services.

My deceased sister, Cindy (who passed on 5/6/2020, due to covid), once shared a story of how she ran into Ricky unexpectantly. She was in a movie theater with her cousins when they were teenagers and Ricky and his friends where sitting behind them and teasing them. They all then shared their names and low and behold Cindy and Ricky discovered they were cousins, what a shock and a good laugh they had. I guess they didn't recognize each other. Hopefully they found each other in heaven and had another laugh about that story. God rest his soul.
