Richard Kuhn Obituary

Richard L. Kuhn, 75, of Shawanese, passed away Friday morning, September 10, 2010, at the Hospice VNA in Wilkes-Barre. Born August 2, 1935, in Wilkes-Barre at the former Mercy Hospital, he was a son of the late Harry and Esther Williams Kuhn. Richard was a member of Gate of Heaven Church in Dallas. He was a graduate of Lewistown High School and received an associate's degree from Pensacola College in Florida. Richard was a U.S. Navy veteran serving 20 years and attaining the rank of a 1st Class Petty Officer. He was preceded in death by two sons, Timothy J. and Harry M. Richard is survived by his wife, the former Mildred Waynette McMahon; son, Richard W., of Winchester, Mass.; daughter, Michelle Cross, of Hunlock Creek; five grandchildren; sisters, Sandra Schmidt, of Sarasota, Fla., Lynda Heuer, of Shawanese; Carol Ann Wagner, of White, Ga., and Mary Jane Evans, of Harveys Lake; as well as nieces and nephews. Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are by the Karl E. Blight Funeral Home, Kingston.
