WILKES-BARRE — Robert Czajkowski, a lifelong resident of Wilkes Barre, passed away Wednesday evening, March 11, 2015, at Wilkes Barre General Hospital, after an illness. He is survived by his beloved wife, Victoria "Vickie" Wheeler Czajkowski. Wed on Aug. 18, 1973, the couple celebrated 41 years of marriage.
Grandchildren, Emily and Mathew Czajkowski, also preceded him in death.
He is also survived by his children, Amy Pascale and her husband, Philip, and Robert C. Czajkowski and his fiancee, Sarah Bennett, all of Wilkes Barre; brothers, Charles King and his wife, Marie, Annapolis, Maryland, and George Czajkowski, Hanover Township; a sister, Carol Daru and her husband, George, Wilkes Barre; and many nieces and nephews.
Military honors by the AMVETS Honor Guard are scheduled for 4 p.m. Sunday at the Daniel J. Hughes Funeral Home, 617 Carey Ave., Wilkes Barre. Relatives and friends may pay their respects from 1 p.m. until the time of the service Sunday at the funeral home.
Arrangements are under the care of the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home Inc., Old Forge.

So sorry to hear of Robert's passing. He was my section chief when I joined the 109FA back in 1976. Bob was a wonderful individual with a great sense of humor. It was truly an honor to serve with him.

Sorry to hear about Bob. I was a grade school and high school friend. We played a lot together as kids,served a lot of masses together as alter boys and worked at the Sunday Indenpendence newspaper on Saturday nights.
