Robert Fealy Obituary

Robert James (Jim) Fealy, 83, loving husband, father, and grandfather, laid down his working tools on Feb. 3, 2024. passing away peacefully at home, surrounded by his children.

Jim was born to the late Arthur Fealy, and Viola (Richards) Fealy, in Kingston, Pa., on June 17, 1940. He graduated from Kingston High School in 1959 as a full Eagle Scout, and upon graduation began his service in the U.S. Navy, serving on the U.S.S. Franklin D. Roosevelt.

Jim married the love of his life, Gertrude D. (Mulhern) Fealy, on Sept. 16, 1961, at St. Leo's Church in Ashley, Pa. He was a devoted parishioner of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Old Bridge, N.J.

Jim was a long-time member of Philo Lodge in South River, N.J., where he rose in rank and became a master Mason at age 42. He remained actively involved in the lodge and the Level Club for many years.

Before his retirement, he worked for the N.J. Turnpike Authority, with previous employment at National and Pan American Airlines.

He will be lovingly remembered by his two children: Jennifer and Robert: his two beautiful grandchildren: Jackie and Ryan; his siblings: Arthur and Margaret Ann; and his extended family.

Jim was loved by all who knew him, had a life-long love of airplanes and flying, enjoyed being active in his Masonic Lodge, loved planning to restore his classic VW and Triumph Spitfire, and spending time going on cruises and traveling with his wife.

A visitation will take place Thursday, Feb. 8, at 1 p.m. at Hugh P. Boyle and Son Funeral Home, Inc., 416 Wyoming Ave., Kingston, with services to follow at 2:30 p.m. Jim will be interred at Chapel Lawn Cemetery, 4115 Memorial Highway Dallas.

In lieu of flowers, the Fealy family requests that donations be made to: Shriners Hospitals for Children, PO Box 947765, Atlanta, GA 30394.

My condolences to the Fealy family. I was fortunate enough to work with Bob at various interchanges on the NJ Turnpike. He is a good man and I know he will be greatly missed by all who knew him. RIP Bob
