Robert Noonan Obituary

Robert J. Noonan, 88, Hanover Township, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, Oct. 4, 2008, at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
Born in Ashley, he was a son of the late Cornelius and Sarah (Warke) Noonan.
Robert was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during World War II. He was a former resident of Camden, N.J., and retired from RCA after 23 years.
He was a member of the Ashley American Legion Post 673 and the Hanover Township VFW Post 5267 as a lifetime member.
His sister, Gertrude Dudick, preceded him in death, in addition to his parents.
He is survived by his sister, Mary Hughes, Spring City, Pa; nieces Cheryl Kasisky, Pittston; Gertrude Stout, Spring City; Judy Beczek, Ashley; and nephews Thomas Hughes, Tallahassee, Fla., and Brian Hughes, Lehigh Acres, Fla.
Funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, Oct. 8, at 11 a.m. at the McCune Funeral Home, 80 S. Mountain Blvd., Mountain Top, with pastor Kevin Straka officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Maple Hill Cemetery, Hanover Township. Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 4 to 8 p.m.
