LARKSVILLE — Robert N. Prushinski, 84, of Larksville, passed away Saturday evening, Oct. 12, 2024.
Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of the late Stanley and Cecelia Kolodziej Prushinski and was a graduate of Nanticoke High School, Class of 1958. Following High School, Robert joined the U.S. Army, served his country proudly and was the recipient of the Good Conduct Medal. Trained by the Army Security Agency, he served at Fort Dix, Fort Devens, Fort Huachuca as a member of the First Infantry Division the Big Red One, and Fort Riley in Combat Surveillance.
Robert was employed by Schott Glass prior to retirement and was a faithful member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, Swoyersville.
In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his brothers Joseph Prushinski and Reverend Carl Prushinski.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of almost 60 years, Jean Strish Prushinski; son Robert J. (Christie) Prushinski of Voorees, N.J.; daughters, Laura and JoAnn Prushinski, both of Larksville; and grandchildren, Allison Marie and Robert William Prushinski.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, 2024, in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, Hughes Street, Swoyersville, with the Rev. John Chimil officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in St. Anthony's Cemetery, Courtdale.
Friends are invited to join the family for a visitation from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass in the church.
The family would like to thank the staff at Highland Manor for the excellent care they gave to Robert. Every person there helped him through the most difficult times with love and kindness.

My deepest condolences go out to you and your family. I was trained by Joe at the General Hospital in 1979. And cared for Rev Carl when he came to us in the hospice unit. What a beautiful loving family. God bless you all. RIP Robert
