MOUNTAIN TOP — Sally F. DiRico went to be with her Lord and Savior on Dec. 8, 2022. At the time of her death, Sally was surrounded by loving family. Sally was the wife of the late John M. DiRico. She was married to the love of her life for almost 64 years, before he passed in 2020.
Sally was born in Edwardsville on July 5, 1933. She was the daughter of the late Ralph S. and Margaret E. Morgan. She attended Edwardsville High School, and Bloomsburg State Teachers College, where she was an education major. She received her Master's in education from Temple University.
Sally taught in the Centennial School District in Warminster, Pa., for many years as a business/typing teacher, and eventually, a math teacher. Upon retirement, she spent 10 years as an adjunct math professor at Luzerne County Community College.
A devoted Christian and lifelong member of Dr. Edwards Memorial Church, Edwardsville, Sally served on several church committees, including the ethnic committee, and sang in the church choir. Forever proud of her Welsh heritage, she actively supported, helped organize, and participated in the annual Cynonfardd Eisteddfod, Gymanfa Ganu and St. David's Day Tea.
Sally will forever be remembered for her effortless ability and love of hosting family and friends! While in Warminster, she enjoyed her monthly "Card Club" friends and in retirement, enjoyed her impromptu happy hour gatherings. She made every family holiday event magical, and made everyone feel special.
Sally is survived by her three children: Jay (Kim), Bob (Wendy), Marilyn (Joe); 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Libby; and sister-in-law, Florence.
A memorial service will be held at Dr. Edwards Memorial Church, at a future date to be announced.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Dr. Edwards Memorial Church, or Shriner's Hospital.

So very sorry to hear about the loss of Sally. I was so happy to reconnect with her. She was my Typing teacher at Wm. Tennent. She was my absolute favorite teacher. I will miss her. My heartfelt sympathy to her entire family.
