My parents have been friends with Tilmann for as long as I could remember. I grew up with Tilmann being a regular guest at our family/friend holiday parties and get-togethers. As I became an adult, traveled the world, and married my husband who has an equal passion for travel, we became great friends with Tilmann. We planned annual visits in DC or back in Pennsylvania. We would spend hours together with Tilmann talking about our world travels and laughing from each other's stories. Every year, we looked forward to spending time with him. We became great friends. My husband and I are saddened to lose Tilmann. Our only consolation is that he lived a full, enriching life and has left a positive impact on all his friends. We will never forget Tilmann.

Tilmann was a friend of our family for many years and a wonderful man. I have many fond memories of his visiting for the holidays, always being the character we knew and loved. To Tilmann I owe both my love of skiing (and some gratitude for his many lessons) and my fondness for travel. How we were able to convince my parents to let me take that first trip alone I don't know, but what an impact it had and it wouldn't have happened if not for Tilmann.
Farewell my friend.

Dr. Kleinsteuber was my Physics professor at King's in 1967 which was shortly after his arrival at the college. It was a challenging class but he was always available to help his students and encourage them to do their best. Years later Tilmann became a patient and neighbor of mine and I had the opportunity to know this remarkable man much better. Godspeed to you Tilmann, RIP.

I was a student at Kings in the 1970's and met Dr. Kleinsteuber through friends who were physics majors. I remember him as an energetic, smiling man with twinkling eyes. He invited some of us students to his home on one occasion and was a gracious, charming host. I have often thought of him fondly in the passing years, especially when I visited his beloved Germany. May he rest in peace. My condolences to his family.
