William Joseph Lazowski, "Lazousky," 89, a lifelong resident of Dupont, passed away Sunday morning, May 4, 2025, at home. His wife, the late Dolores Harashinski Lazowski, passed away Feb. 21, 2009.
Born in Dupont, he was the son of the late Peter and Julia Sevka Lazowski. He worked at Chamberlain Manufacturing in Scranton for many years, and later, until his retirement, he work at Bridon American in Exeter. He was a member of St. Michael Byzantine Church, Pittston. He enjoyed working in his garden, picking blueberries and coal, and volunteered with the Lions Club Food Pantry in Dupont. As a big fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, he was proud to cheer them on to their 2025 Super Bowl victory.
He was preceded in death by a son, William Lazowski Jr.; sisters, Mary Ritzie and Patricia Francis; and brothers, Peter Lazowski Jr. and Andrew Lazowski.
Surviving are a daughter, Deborah Tokash and husband, Frank, Dupont; a son, Michael Lazowski and wife, Donna, Dupont; a brother, Joseph Lazowski, Nanticoke; grandchildren, Frank Tokash and companion, Kathleen; Nicole Tokash and companion, Pablo; William Tokash; Amy Strauch and husband, Corey; Michael Lazowski Jr. and wife, Nicole; Mary Martarano and husband, Tim; and seven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Dupont Lions Club Food Pantry, c/o Elaine Lello, 304 Penn Ave., Dupont, PA 18641.
Arrangements are entrusted to Corey Brian Strauch Funeral Home, Scranton.
