Paul Ingrassia Obituary

Paul Bradley Ingrassia, 50, of San Diego, California, passed away on August 19, 2025, from injuries sustained during a hiking accident on Mt. Shasta.

Born on September 13, 1974, to Gloria and Anthony Ingrassia, Paul grew up in Watchung, New Jersey. He attended Watchung Public Schools and graduated from Watchung Hills Regional High School in 1992, where he earned numerous honors and awards in sports, including induction into Watchung Hills Wrestling Hall of Fame, 1992 NJ State Wrestling Championship Medalist (4th), and North - South Football Allstar Award.

Paul attended Penn State University, where he played football. In 1995, Paul welcomed his beloved only child, Autumn Kali Ingrassia. He graduated from Penn State in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science.

In 1997, Paul moved to San Diego, where he lived most of his life in the town of Ocean Beach. His most recent employment was Senior Project Manager at Conan Construction. Outside of work, Paul loved being outdoors and working in nature. He especially enjoyed spending time at Cabrillo National Monument, and above all, cherished every moment with his family and friends.

Paul was larger than life. With a magnetic personality, he made a lasting impression on everyone he met. He lived boldly and fully, traveling to all 50 U.S. states and more than 180 countries - often with nothing more than a small backpack. Fearless and adventurous, he sought out places' others might avoid, always returning with wild stories to tell. He made friends wherever he went and carried an insatiable drive to experience everything the world had to offer.

Athletics continued to play a central role in Paul's life. He trained for more than ten years in MMA as a heavyweight fighter with some of the best professional fighters in the world at that time. He never backed away from a challenge and was the kind of man that could wake up one morning and decide to run a marathon with no preparation. Nothing held him back from pursuing what he set his mind to.

Paul's greatest joy in life was his daughter, Autumn, and his granddaughter, Isla, along with the anticipation of meeting his grandson, Brooks Bradley, who is on the way. The time he spent with his daughter and granddaughter was his most treasured life experience. Known for his toughness and strength, Paul softened completely in their presence, showing only love and devotion.

Though he made friends everywhere, Paul had a "core crew" he considered family. Many of which he met within his first years of living in San Diego. He shared a special bond with his twin sister Elisa and older brother Anthony and was a proud uncle to his three nephews Anthony, Christopher Nobel and Christopher Paul and his niece Mary Leigh. Paul also had a close bond with his older brother Christopher Noble Ingrassia who passed away on September 11, 2001, in the attacks on the WTC.

Paul had a deep love for his parents. Anthony and Gloria. He spent meaningful time back in New Jersey to be with them, particularly during his father's battle with Alzheimer's. After his father's passing, Paul and his mother shared travels together, during which Paul, as always, became the life of the party.

Paul leaves behind a tremendous energy in the hearts of those who knew him-his light, his strength, his fearless adventurous spirit, and his wisdom will remain with us forever.

He is survived by his daughter, Autumn Arbet, and her husband, Dominik; his granddaughter, Isla, and soon-to-be grandson, Brooks Bradley; his mother, Gloria Ingrassia; his brother, Anthony Ingrassia, sister- in -law Jessica, and their children, Anthony Richard, Christopher Noble, and Mary Leigh; and his twin sister, Elisa Ingrassia, and brother-in-law Marco Anaya, and their son, Christopher Paul.

Two services will be held in honor of Paul.
