Lillie Baxa Obituary
Rochester - Lillie M. Baxa, age 91, of Rochester, passed away on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at Creek Meadows in Zelienople. Born February 28, 1930, in Freedom, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Edna (Whitmore) Martin. She was a long time member of Bridgewater United Methodist Church, she was a member of the Monaca Legion Ladies Auxiliary, and she loved reading, bird watching and gardening.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank L. Baxa in 2011, two sisters, and one brother.
She is survived by three daughters and two sons; Patricia (Ron) Petrella, Catheryne (Richard) Brown, Michael (Joan Marie) Baxa Sr., Caroline (Kenneth) Purvis, and Edward Baxa; eleven grandchildren; Jessica Petrella, Kayla Miller, Stefanie Coburn, Matthew and Eric Brown, Michelle and Michael Baxa Jr., Cody and Ryan Purvis, and Chase and Kurt Baxa. Also surviving are four great grandchildren; Aiden and Cameron Brown, Lillie Coburn and Brooklynn Purvis; one brother, William Martin; and two sisters; Arlene Johns and Shirley Radish, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received on Saturday, June 19, 2021 for a memorial visitation from 11:00am until the time of a memorial service at 1:00pm at the SAUL-GABAUER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 273 Route 68, Rochester, PA (adjacent to the Sylvania Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum). Interment will immediately follow at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park. If desired, contributions can be made to the Rochester Public Library, 252 Adams St, Rochester, PA 15074. www.beaverlibraries.org
