MARGARET EASTON Obituary

Margaret Easton

Midland

Margaret Easton, 87, departed this earthly life on Thursday, February 13, 2020, peacefully at home.

She was born May 9, 1932, in Olgethorpe, Georgia to the late Asberry and Cora Smith. Margaret was joined in holy matrimony to James Easton for 42 years. To this union seven children were born.

She worked for Crucible Steel and retired from The Beaver County Day Care Center as a Teachers Aid and Senior Cook. She was educated from Stanley High School, Americus, Ga.; furthering her education at Geneva College and a certification from Pitt University in Child Development and Nutrition Food Service. She was President of The Seven Churches, United Church Service Committee and former member of the Women's Civic Club. The Tri Stone Baptist Church Floral Ministry honored her as "Servant of God" for her commitment and dedication on behalf of the United Church Kitchen Committee. Margaret also received a Certification of Appreciation from the Boys and Girls Club, American Heart Association, Deputy Sheriff's Association, Easter Seals, and received the Pennsylvania Veterans Supporter of the Year.

Margaret was a faithful member of the Church of the Living God in Midland, PA. Her loyalty to her family, church, community and friends will long be a living memorial. She enjoyed telling a good joke, laughing, and dancing. She touched the lives of so many, and we are grateful to God for the privilege of having her.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, James Easton; a son, Jerry Easton and granddaughter, Sharece Easton.

She is survived by two daughters, Sylvia Jones and Saundre Easton-Fletcher (Keith Fletcher); four sons, Jerome, James, Andrew (Joyce Easton) and Andre; fourteen grandchildren, Brandon, James III (Tia Easton), Anthony, Andre Jr., TaShera, Cindy, Andrew Jr., Marcus, Marquita (Kwame Goldman) Vickie, Theresa, Jackie, Randy Jr., Robert, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Friends will be received Saturday, February 22, 2020, from 10 to 11 a.m. followed by a Homegoing service at the Holiness Church of Christ 6349 Tuscarawas Rd., Industry, PA.

Services entrusted to WASHINGTON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATIONS, 1411 6th Avenue, Beaver Falls, PA. Supervisor Regina Washington.
