Michael Seikel Obituary

Michael Seikel
After a long battle with cancer Michael Seikel passed away peacefully on April 17th surrounded by his wife Leanne (Steinke) many family members and his faithful dog Ernie. He was born in MI and moved to Arizona where he met and married his wife, Leanne. Mike and Leanne loved to travel, he was an avid golfer and enjoyed spending time at the dog parks with Ernie. It was a given that during game time you could find Mike and Leanne cheering on their favorite teams at Priceless Too. Mike was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, while Leanne remained faithful to the Chicago Bears. Interesting times during football season in the Seikel house! When it came to baseball there was no question who you cheered for. Mike "saw the light" early in their relationship and it was Cubs all the way. He was a devoted employee of Safeway and retired after 30 years, then followed his dream of golfing and got a job at Bear Creek Golf Course. He was a great friend to many in Beaver Falls, PA and Phoenix, AZ.
Mike was the son of the late Charlotte (Simmons), and Ralph.
He is survived by 3 brothers, Dave (Mary Jo), Paul (Sue), Mark (Linda) and many nieces and nephews.

I can´t believe it´s been 3 yrs. since my best Bud passed away. Think about him everyday and I have a picture of him right here on my desk that I can talk to him. Leanne gave me Mikes high school football Letter jacket that I´m going to take back to Beaver Falls, Pa. with me this summer. I have a few ideas of who I will give it to I have a lot of memorabilia already.
On another sad note, Mike´s other best friend, his doggie, Ernie, went to heaven a couple weeks ago. He was getting up in age and having some issues, so, very sadly, Leanne had to have Ernie put down. Leanne is trying her best, but times are tough these days, as we can only imagine. RIP Michael and Ernie together!

Mike reached out to me about 3 years ago via Facebook and said he knew my husband who had just had a double lung transplant at St Joseph hospital in Phoenix. He said he knew him from growing up in Beaver Falls.
He came to the hospital to visit and brought a State Forty Eight shirt as a gift. The whole thing was so kind of him but it sounds like that was his nature. We are very sad and sorry to read of his passing.
