Marilyn,
Jack and I were truly rocked by your note on the photo of Jeremy and my Mom. We are so sorry to hear that news.
We have such fond memories of our time together in France - exploring the cuisine and the wines, struggling with the language, working with the French system. Jack of course has many more memories from his time as a colleague here in the States.
My most special memory is that, shortly after I arrived in France, Jack had to travel for a week or so. Darnall went out to dinner with me, and we had two "appetizers" instead of an entree, which puzzled our waiter. Darnall selected the wine. It was my introduction to some of the specialties, and after dinner we wandered around downtown, soaking in the ambiance. I wouldn't have dare venture out alone, and we had a great time.
We're thinking of you, and sharing memories of Darnall, and you, together.
