The angels are rejoicing because two more warriors for Christ have joined the heavenly army. They will be missed by all of their family and our hearts go out to their sons. I loved Kenneth, what a cool cousin he was. We will meet again in the heavenly places, praise God!

Bro & Sis Matthews were my big brother and big sister, when I was just a silly 19-year old, in Granite City, Il. I looked up to both of them, and spent a lot of time in their home. Sis. Matthews was a great cook. Bro. Matthews was called to preach, and it showed, every time he told us what he had learned in the Word. They did go on to pastor several churches before coming back to Granite City as our pastors. Years later, after I moved to Wichita Falls, Tx., they became my pastors again. What a joy it was to sit under their ministry again. Sis. Matthews was as good a preacher/teacher, as he, and there were times that she would preach a minute during his sermon, and he would teach a minute during her Sunday School class. They’ve always been a team, even in death. Like everyone else, I will miss them dearly, and cherish the times we had together.

Larry and Venita, I am so sorry for your loss. I can't imagine the pain you and the rest of the family are feeling losing both parents. I was blessed to have known them and have them as pastors. They said many many prayers for me when I had cancer and those prayers were so appreciated and were answered. I am so glad we know they are not gone but have just moved to their heavenly home and are with their Lord and Savior that they served while on this earth. Please know I loved them and appreciate all they did for me and my family. I will keep you all in my prayers.

In memory of a precious couple and servants of God, they were pillars that loved the Lord with all their hearts, people that we had great respect, strong leaders in the army of the Lord, they are bright lights that are now shinning in the kingdom of God.
