Theodore Hyde Obituary

Theodore Jearld Hyde

Wichita Falls, tx

Theodore (Teddy) J. Hyde was born on August 5, 1936 and was a lifetime resident of Wichita Falls, Texas. He balanced his last act, rejoining with his wife, Louise (Downing), on June 29, 2018. Ted realized his passion for Adagio Acrobatics at the young age of 5 and as the only child of Anna and Walter Hyde had numerous opportunities for his Acrobatics Act to be successful. After foregoing a contract with the Barnum and Bailey Circus in the early '70s because he had a young family, Ted continued to perform his act at various events in North Texas. He always loved putting on a show and was known to be a daredevil. If no one else would do it, he would!

He was employed as a Millwright with Daniels Construction and worked in other industrial manufacturing businesses. After retiring at an early age, the lake home that he and his son rebuilt was where family always gathered.

Survivors include: a daughter, Cynthia Bennett and husband Steven; a son Kevin Hyde and wife Michele; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
