Ann Filimonuk Obituary
Together Again
Ann M. Filimonuk
Age 92, of Bolivar, passed away in her home Wednesday, May 22, 2013. She was born Jan. 15, 1921 in Canton to the late George and Mary Sherban. Ann was a Bolivar area resident for the past 30 years and retired from Sugardale Foods after 18 years of service. She was a member of The Church of the Holy Trinity, Zoar. Ann enjoyed crocheting, gardening, watching the wildlife from her patio and family gatherings. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Steve Filimonuk in 2007; stepfather, Aron Todoran; two sisters, Mary Landis and Laura Darrah; four brothers, Alex, John, Earl and George Sherban.
She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Linda Filimonuk of Bolivar, Carol and Ed Meunier of Bolivar; three step-grandchildren and five step-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and their families.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, May 25, 2013 at 11 a.m. in The Church of the Holy Trinity with Fr. Ronald J. Aubry as celebrant. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call one and a half hours before the mass on Saturday at the church (9:30-11 a.m.). In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Community Hospice of Tuscarawas County at 716 Commercial Ave. SW, New Philadelphia, OH 44663. Condolences or fond memories may be shared online at

I remember the time my young daughter and I visited her and she gave my daughter a few 2 dollar bills. Ann was a sweetheart and will be missed.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Ann was a great lady and such a hard worker. You kids were so good to her and her last years were good ones. You can all rest easy knowing she's in the arms of the angels and her and Dad are together again. Blessings to you all.
