Jacqueline Fisher Obituary

Jacqueline Fisher
age 57, of Uhrichsville, died peacefully Saturday, March 31, 2012 in the Dover home of her daughter following a brief and aggressive battle with lung cancer. A daughter of Gene and Betty (Wadsworth) Greenwalt of Cambridge, Ohio, Jackie, as she was known to those who loved her, was born at Warren, Ohio on Feb. 13, 1955. She attended the former Lakeland High School and continued her education by obtaining a Medical Assistant Certification. For the past number of years, Jackie had resided in Florida where she worked in various capacities for retail stores around the area in which she lived. In 2010 she relocated to the Tuscarawas Valley and began working as a customer service associate for Lowe's at New Philadelphia. Jackie enjoyed life to the fullest and took every opportunity she had to spend time out of doors. It did not matter if she were sitting ocean side along the Florida Keys sipping on her favorite drink, a strawberry daiquiri, riding along the open roads on a Harley or whether she was working outside her home tending to her landscaping, she loved being in the sun. She also had a knack for tending to indoor plants and was able to keep many plants alive that others in her family could not. Among her many passions in life, Jackie, enjoyed "retail therapy", often finding a new pair of shoes or a special purse to bring home. Additionally, she loved caring for her special Chihuahua, Chanel.
In addition to her parents, Jackie will be missed by her children, Jennifer Losey of Dover and Jeremy Wayne Fisher of Wichita, Kan; and two granddaughters, Ashley and Kayla Losey. Completing the family are three siblings, Deborah Greenwalt, Cheryl Rizer, and Ronald Greenwalt as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends. Jackie was preceded in death by her former husband, Douglas Wayne Fisher as well as her maternal and paternal grandparents.
A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2012 in the Geib Funeral Center at Dover from 23 p.m. where a service celebrating Jackie's love for life will begin at 3 p.m. Cremation care has been handled through Geib's Tuscarawas Valley Crematory at Dover. Those wishing to do so may share a fond memory or light a candle in Jackie's memory by visiting the funeral home's website. Those wishing to make a contribution in Jackie's memory are asked to refer to the family on special donation arrangements.

Jeremy & Jennifer - I am so very sorry for the loss of your Mom. We went way back and many times through the years I wondered where she was and how she was doing. Your Mom & Dad and I had a lot of fun together. I'm sure they are together again and watching over you and yours. I will never forget either of them and will miss them forever. Sue (Broome) Dunlap

When I think of Jackie I remember how crazy she was when we were in M.A. class. We had a lot of fun and our small group remained friends for many years. Jackie will be missed by many. My heart goes out to her children and grandchildren who lost so much at such a young age. GOD Bless you.

Jeremy and Jennifer, I am so sorry for your loss. Jackie will always hold a special place in the memories of my life. Doug loved her the best he knew how and I believe she was the same with him. We are especially thankful that their union produced the two of you. Now they will both live on through Ashley and Kayla. August 12th it will be 25 years since we lost your dad and I still miss him. They had a relationship that was "I can't live with you and I can't live without you". Based on that, I pray for a reunion that is joyful in a way we do not understand in this life. One of unconditional love. Sending prayers of loving comfort for all of you. Aunt Ruth

My thoughts and prayers are with your family in their time of need. It's been years, but I will always remember all the help you gave me on the benefit parties for Ed McKean. You will be missed by many.
