Jane Addy Obituary
91 of Newcomerstown, passed away Monday, March 09, 2015 at Community Hospice House, New Philadelphia. She was born Sunday, Jan. 27, 1924 in Newcomerstown to the late Chester R. and Beatrice 'Mulvane' Best.
She was a 1941 Newcomerstown High School graduate. She was the former owner and operator of the Addy Funeral Home. A member of the Christ United Methodist Church of Newcomerstown. Jane loved and thought the world of her grand and great grand children. She enjoyed going to lunch on Fridays with all her friends at Cy Young Lanes and was an avid Ohio State Fan. On Sunday, March 08, 1942 she married Thomas D. Addy who passed away Nov. 27, 1974.
She is survived by two children, Jill Little and Thomas (Kelly) Addy, all of Newcomerstown; five grandchildren, Erin (Jason) Peoples, Becky (Jake) Olding, Kaitlan Addy, Kyle Little and Chase Addy; four great-grandchildren, Jaidyn Peoples, Addie Peoples, Tyson Olding and Drew Olding; one sister, Beryl Kopes of Newcomerstown; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one brother, Robert M. Best; son-in-law Thomas R. Little; brother-in-law, Donald S. Kopes; sister-in-law, Roselyn Best.
Funeral services will be Saturday, March 14, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the Addy Funeral Home, with Rev. Bracken G. Foster and Rev. Derek Hickman officiating. Burial will be in West Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, March 13, 2015 from 12-2 p.m. and from 4-7 p.m. at the Addy Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Thomas R.
