Jeffrey A. Schupp
59, of Dennison, passed away at his home on Thursday, Dec. 12, 2013 after an extended period of declining health. Born Aug. 22, 1954 in Dover, he was the son of the late Richard D. and Clara N. "Cherry" (Wilcoxon) Schupp. A 1972 graduate of Claymont High School, Jeff was a lifelong resident of the area. He was a mechanic who had most recently worked for Kim Sulzener Construction and was a former employee of R&J Cylinder for many years. Jeff was a member of the Uhrichsville Elks and an avid bowler who had also worked at Alpa Lanes for a time. Most of all, Jeff was a devoted pet owner who loved caring for his cats and dogs.
In addition to his parents, Jeff was preceded in death by his sister, Karin Schupp. He is survived by three aunts and an uncle, Norma Jean Martin of Gnadenhutten, Helen and Harry Lane of Columbus, and Ethel Shilladay of Columbus; and cousins, Jan and Terry Leatherman of Dover, Pam and Dan McClaskey of New Philadelphia, Tom Martin, Nancy Martin Matthews, Sally Martin, Terry Martin, Sandy Martin Gray, Tony Martin, and Tim Martin.
In keeping with Jeff's wishes, he has been cremated and will be interred beside his sister in Roxford Church Cemetery near Dennison. Those wishing to honor his memory by charitable contribution are encouraged to do so to the Tuscarawas County Humane Society Cat Shelter, 6895 Dover-Zoar Rd., Dover, OH 44622, in lieu of flowers.
