Kathy S. "Theriault" Brown, age 46, of Canton, formerly of this area, died Friday (April 30, 2010) in Aultman Hospital at Canton, following a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born on Dec. 3, 1963, at Garden Grove, Calif., a daughter of John R. Theriault and her stepmother Teresa, and Myra M. "Weyland" Sparks and her stepfather George.
Kathy loved shopping, music and comedy clubs, but her dearest love was her children and spending time with her grandson. They were the joy of her life.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by a daughter, Richelle L. Walker, and her son-in-law, Gideon Setordzie of Canton; a son, Roger S. Jackson of Warsaw; and a grandson, Collin Isaac L. Thompson of Canton. Also surviving are sisters, Nan Hartley of Gnadenhutten, Elise and Bruce Barthalow of Kimbolton, Jodi and Marvin Tidrick of Coshocton, and brothers, Danny and Donna Hartley of Utah, Vern Theriault of West Lafayette, Jeff and Paulette Theriault of Bedford Heights, Scott Theriault and companion Lynn of West Lafayette; and several nieces and nephews.
Through her battle with cancer she was given great love and support from her family and her cancer support person, Dee Phillips.
Kathy was preceded in death by a brother, John Roger Theriault; maternal and paternal grandparents; and a sister-in-law, Beth Theriault.
A graveside service will be held Monday (May 3, 2010) at 11:30 a.m. in West Lawn Cemetery, Newcomerstown, Pastor Brent Heishman officiating. There are no calling hours. Arrangements were handled by Gowins Funeral Home of Gnadenhutten.

To The Kathy Brown Family

So sorry to hear this news today.
Please accept our condolences on the passing of Kathy. None of us had any knowledge that she had gone on to be with The Lord. Today (5/27) is the first time we heard that she had transitioned to a better place.
Please find peace in your memories, and May God be with you.
