Kenneth Fincher Obituary
69, of New Philadelphia passed away Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2020 at Community Hospice Truman House. He was born Feb. 17, 1951 in New Philadelphia to the late Kadez and Bernice (Beitzel) Fincher. He was a 1969 New Philadelphia High School graduate. He got his B.S. in Education from Kent State Univ. He also received his M.A. in Counseling from Walsh Univ. and Master of Education in Administration from Ashland Univ. He is a U.S. Army veteran. He started as a special education teacher at Glen Oaks High School. He was a coach, teacher and counselor at Middlebranch Middle School. He then was a principal at Tusky Valley grade schools. He retired as counselor from Green High School. He was a member of Broadway U. M. Church, New Phila.
On July 14, 1983, he married Cecily (Davis) Fincher who survives. He is also survived by his siblings, Beatrice McIntyre of AZ, Richard (Sharon) Fincher of New Philadelphia, Dale (Judy) Fincher of New Philadelphia, Donnie Fincher of AZ; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Glenn Fincher and a sister, Darleen Ault.
Services will be Friday, Dec. 11, 2020 at 1 p.m. at Stone Creek Cemetery. Military graveside service will be conducted by Newcomerstown Veterans Honor Guard. Memorial contributions may be made to Broadway U.M.C., 120 Church Ave SE, New Philadelphia, OH 44663. Online
