To my dear cousins and their families: I don't have to tell you how special Uncle Jake was. Part of his charm was making everyone feel special...whenever he saw me, it was always, "how you doing babe?" Big and tough on the outside, he was a marshmallow on the inside. I remember LONG ago family reunions with Uncle Jake and my dad chasing each other around and one of them always ending up in the lake at Tall Timbers, or they would compare (false) teeth. I hope your happy memories lead you out of this time of sorrow. May it bring joy to know that he is with Aunt Dolores again! Love each of you...sorry I couldn't be there.

jake,
sorry to hear of your father's passing. my parents were very fond of him and always spoke highly of him. it's sad that all those great, hardworking men that would gather at the brooklyn and share their stories are all gone. bill smith, jack weiland, john mari, jerry gintz, jake korns, and the rest of those good men have left me with alot of good memories. if we can be as cool as they were, then we will have accomplished something.

Dear "Jake" Korns family, Our love and prayers are with you. Jake had a servants heart as he served God and country in the military, and loved and served his wife and children! I know his grandchildren and great-grandchildren held a special place in his heart! We are glad we got to know Grandpa Jake also! As Psalm 23 states, may "He lead you beside still waters to restore your soul." Love, Dave and Becky

My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. I'll miss "The Bear" terribly but he's touched my heart forever. He's finally with DaDa. At my Mom's funeral, the priest said, "God gives us the gift of memory so that in the cold of December, we can remember what roses look like in the warmth of June." Remember the roses. Love, Pam
