Linda Feutz Obituary

Linda S. (Spencer) Feutz, 64, of Dover died peacefully Thursday, Nov. 19, 2009, in the Park Village Health Care Center lovingly surrounded by her family.
Linda served as the first activity director at Park Village. She was also an employee of the former Potschner Ford in Dover.
Born May 19, 1945, in Dover, she was the daughter of the late William J. and Freda "Helen" (Craigo) Spencer.
She was a member of the St. John's United Church of Christ in Dover. She will be remembered as a "best friend" to everyone and spent her life doing for others. She enjoyed the outdoors and could often be found picking strawberries, refinishing antiques, canning, traveling with her family in vintage cars, and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was a "huge" fan of Chevrolets and was a member of the Chevrolet Club.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, John W. Feutz, with whom they celebrated an anniversary on May 16. She is also survived by her daughter, Carolyn (husband, Jay) Hucek of Upper Arlington and her son, Major John S. (wife, Lisa) Feutz of Raleigh, N.C., and who is currently serving in the U.S. Army in Iraq; five grandchildren, Freda Allyson "Ally" Hucek, Olivia Irene "Livie" Hucek, Christine Marie Michaels, Claire Elyse Michaels and Rachel Ann Feutz; one brother, Glenn Spencer of New Philadelphia, and her sister, Shirley (husband, Don) Smith of Dover, along with many nieces and nephews.
A service celebrating Linda's life will be held on Monday, Nov. 23, 2009, at 11 a.m. in the St. John's United Church of Christ at Dover with Revs. Michael Lowry and Edwin Shriver officiating. Interment will be in the Dover Burial Park. Friends may call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover on Sunday from 5 to 9 p.m.
Those unable to attend or who may wish to express a fond memory of Linda may sign the online register book by visiting the "obituaries" link on the funeral home's Web site.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to one's favorite charity.

John and Family you are in my prayers. It was great having you and Linda as my neighbor. We enjoyed the same things, taking care of the kids and keeping the yard work done. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
