Marie E. Stein Stein Obituary

Marie E. Stein, 92, of 510 Wood Ave., Newcomerstown, O., died Saturday, Dec. 27, 2008, in New Dawn Health Care Center at Dover, O.

She was born Aug. 30, 1916, at Dennison, O., to the late Martha (Nelson) McCoun and Walter McCoun. She was a homemaker and attended Christ United Methodist Church of Newcomerstown.

On March 26, 1938, she married Harold H. Stein, who died Nov. 13, 1960.

Surviving are one son, Larry Stein and wife Susie of Newcomerstown; two grandchildren, Heather Stein Wells and Nathan Stein and wife Sara, both of Newcomerstown; two brothers, Floyd McCoun and wife Thelma of Newcomerstown, and Don McCoun and wife Nancy of West Lafayette; and one sister, Bernice Burg of Newcomerstown.

She was preceded in death by one son, Harold J. Stein; four brothers, Herbert, Charles, Roger and Dick McCoun; and two sisters, Evelyn Gibbs and Ora Burg.

Services will be held in Addy Funeral Home at Newcomerstown on Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2008, beginning at 1 p.m. with Pastor Derek Hickman officiating. Burial will be in Fiat United Methodist Church Cemetery at Fiat, O. Calling hours are at Addy Funeral Home on Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2008, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Memorials may be made to Newcomerstown Emergency Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 29, Newcomerstown, O. 43832.
