Roger Poulton Obituary
age 75, of 75100 Dry Ridge Road, Freeport died at 12:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012 in the home of his daughter, Tammy Walters in Warsaw following a brief illness. Born in Tippecanoe, Ohio November 28, 1937, he was a son of the late Earl Foster Poulton and Mary Ann Stillion Robison. Roger was a graduate of Freeport High School in 1955. He was a veteran of the United States Navy serving for 3 1/2 years. He retired from R & F Coal when he was a heavy equipment operator. He was a member of Operating Engineers and also worked for Beaver Construction.
Surviving is his wife of 47 years, Flora Lucille Garbrandt Poulton. They were married Dec. 11, 1965. Also surviving are two daughters, Tammy (Carey) Walters of Warsaw and Patty (Doug) Brown of Evansville, Ind.; a son, Roger (Buddy) (Colleen) Poulton of Indiana; two stepdaughters, Debbie Troyer of Popano Beach, Fla. and Peggy (Jim) Bardall of Freeport; two sisters, Priscilla Browning of Canton and Carolyn (Richard) Huston of Georgia; 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Wendy McCoy in 2007; a sister Joann Kosegi; and a brother, Terry Poulton
Following Roger's wishes, his body has been cremated. Services will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Coshocton County. Online condolences may be made on the funeral home's website at www.kochfuneralhome.net.
