Sally Riggsby Obituary

SALLY RIGGSBY

LONDON — Sally Riggsby, 41, of London, died Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2014 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born June 26, 1972 in Urbana, she was a daughter of Linda (Miller) and Jimmy Riggsby.

Sally was working at Stanley Electric when she became ill, but had also worked at London City Schools for many years as well as Madison Lanes.

Survivors include her children, Jessica Sidney Dillard and Joshua David Lickliter; mother, Linda Riggsby of South Vienna; father, Jimmy and Rena Riggsby of London; fiancée, Jeremy Greene of London; sisters and brothers, Anita (Kenny) Adkins of London, Bryan (Cindy) Shoemaker of London, Dianna (Lee) Osborne of Rockbridge, Donald (Melissa) Shoemaker of Marysville and Kevin (Belinda) Shoemaker of Washington Court House; grandmother, Virginia Miller of Tennessee and grandmother Dorothy Miller of London; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Steve Riggsby; sister, Amy Riggsby; and several grandparents.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 2, 2014 in the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 N. Main St., London with Rev. Jerry Newman officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Mechanicsburg. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1.

The family suggests memorial contributions to Loving Care Hospice.

My thoughts and prayers go out to sally and get family. I loved her as a lunch lady because she always let me slip out the hot sauce and bring it back. And at the bowling alley she was always a joy to talk to between games or just waiting on the food. R.I.P Sally

I will sure miss her! Sally was a wonderful person in every way and a Terrific Mother! I know she is watching over Jessie and JD and all of us. I am so very grateful to have known Sally and to have been able to be there for her through her fight, she tried really really hard but it was not in her hands....Jesus was ready for her and she is one special Angel!!! Love ya girl!
