Susan and Harry Butler

Together Forever

Age 75, a life-long resident of Dover, passed away Thursday, August 9, 2018, in Country Club Retirement Center. Born June 1, 1943, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Betty Young Steely. Susan graduated from Dover High School, and, on May 31, 1963, married Harry W. Butler. The couple reared two daughters and shared very nearly fifty-five years of marriage prior to Harry's passing on May 5 of this year. In addition to her parents, and her husband, Harry, Susan was preceded in death by her daughter, Bettie Ann Cedarville.

A funeral service will be held Monday, August 13, at 1:30 p.m., in Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church with Pastor Donald L. Rice Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Dover Burial Park. Following the committal, there will be a lunch in the church's social hall. Family and friends are invited to call at the church on Monday, 12:30 - 1:30 p.m. To sign an online guestbook and share a fond memory of Susan, please visit the obituaries link on the Toland-Herzig website.
