Thomas J. "Tom" Langford

1947 - 2017

age 70, of Dover, passed away
Thursday, Nov. 9, 2017. Tom had
battled liver disease for the past several
months. Born Jan. 15, 1947 in
Dover, he was the son of the late N.J.
and Joanne Seikel Langford. Tom
graduated from Dover High School
and went on to earn his bachelor's
degree from Kent State University.
He was an artist - painter, sculptor,
and jewelry designer. He operated
Langford Jewelers in Dover. Tom
was an adjunct professor at Kent State University and taught at the
R.G. Drage Career Technical Center in Massillon. Additionally, he
served as a substitute teacher in industrial arts. Tom was a member of
St. Joseph Church, Dover, and the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed
the outdoors, as well as working with people – he was always willing
to help.
Survivors include his children, Elizabeth (Jonathan) Estes of
Nashville, Tenn., and Ramsey Alexander (Felicia Rose) Langford of
Copley; his grandchildren, Ivy Estes and Penelope Rose Langford; his
sisters, Johanna (Jerry) Morris of Cambridge, and Barbara (Michael)
Miklos of Bolivar; and his several nieces and nephews. In addition to
his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his aunt, Pauline Seikel,
with whom he was very close.

Home & Crematory, Dover, on
Sunday (today), Nov. 12, 5 – 7 p.m. A
Christian wake service will be conducted
at 6:45 p.m. A funeral Mass
will be held Monday, November 13, at
10:30 a.m., in St. Joseph Church with
Fr. Jimmy Hatfield officiating. Burial
will be in St. Joseph Calvary
