LITTLE FALLS, NY - Justin Robert Brownell, age 32, a Little Falls native and currently residing in Remsen, passed away on Monday, January 2, 2017, at Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester, following a brief illness.
He was born on January 25, 1984, in Utica, son of Thomas J. and Pauline M. (Perry) Brownell, and educated in Little Falls schools. In December of 2015, Justin was engaged to Jamie Sue Wilcox. He was currently employed with BNY Mellon Bank, Oriskany, as an account case handler.
Justin was a people person and was loved by his family and friends. Taken from this world far too early, he will be missed by all those who were fortunate enough to have known him. He loved the outdoors, mainly golfing and camping. He was an avid Detroit Lions fan.
Survivors include his parents, Thomas and Pauline, of Little Falls; his adored and cherished daughter, Jaedyn Wilcox and her mother, Jamie Sue Wilcox, of Remsen; his siblings, Mark Anthony Brownell and wife, Tina Marie, of Albany, and Rebecca Lynn Brownell, of Little Falls; his paternal grandmother, Pearl Brownell, of Little Falls; two nephews, Gabriel Filippi and Luke Filippi; a niece, Briella Brownell; and many close aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, John and Patricia Brownell, and maternal grandparents, Robert and Betty Perry, of Little Falls.
Calling hours will take place at Daniel J. Enea Funeral and Cremation Care, 5860 State Route 5, between Little Falls and Herkimer (near St. Mary's Cemetery), 508-5250, on Saturday, January 7, 2017, from 1-4 p.m.
Justin's funeral will commence also on Saturday at Dan Enea's funeral home location at 4 p.m., with the Rev. Tim Parisi officiating. Final burial will be private and in Rural Park Cemetery, Inghams Mills, in the spring. The Brownell family offers their gratitude and appreciation to all of the relatives and friends for your acts of sympathy during this most difficult time.
