LITTLE FALLS - Mrs. Mary A. Bacher, a lifelong resident of Little Falls, NY, passed away at the age of 90 on Monday evening, May 15, 2017, at Valley Health Services in Herkimer, NY. The family is appreciative toward the care received at that facility.
She was born Mary A. Paluzzi on August 22, 1926, in Little Falls, NY, to Albert and Amelia (Augustini) Paluzzi. She was educated in St. Mary's Academy and worked at Melrose Slipper Company and Allegro Shoe Corporation and also part-time in Daffy Discount and the Boston Store. She was a member of the Holy Family Parish and the Rosary Society and was also Past President of DeCarlo-Staffo Post #8 Auxiliary. She was married to Earl F. Bacher in St. Joseph's Parish on June 25, 1950, by Father Benedict. Mr. Bacher passed away April 26, 1992.
She is survived by her son, Michael E. Bacher, Sr., and Betsy Brown; a sister-in-law, Mary Paluzzi, of Homelife at Folts in Herkimer; her grandchildren, Michael E. Bacher, Jr., and his wife, Shauna, Stephanie Woodcock, and great-grandchildren, Seth, Olivia, Alexia, and Skyvinn; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and Robin Bacher who was very special to her. She was predeceased by her brother, Bill Paluzzi, and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Corliss and Florence Bacher and Thelma Bacher.
Her funeral arrangements are entrusted to The Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 West Monroe Street, in Little Falls, NY, Funeral Directors Harry J. & Kevin E. Enea, (315) 823-2424. There are no calling hours.
Graveside service will be held on Friday, May 19, 2017, at 12:00 Noon at St. Mary's Cemetery, Town of Herkimer, with Deacon Jim Bower, of the Holy Family Parish, officiating.
