He had worked for various places after retirement; he worked for NBT Bank, Norstar Bank and Bruce Hall Corporation, all in Richfield Springs. He was a member of the Richfield Springs Vets Club.
Surviving him are a son, Woodrow Teachout and his wife, Joan, of Schuyler Lake; a daughter, Mary Ellen Marriott, of West Winfield; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his wife, Wanda, he was preceded in death by his son, Richard, Jr., in 1966; a daughter, Patricia Tehan, in 2007; four brothers, Oscar, George, Arthur and Orville; and a sister, Vanetta Domion.

I can't believe it's been 5 years. I wish we could return to those days years ago when I would see Dick on his Ford tractor working in the fields. He was a very hard working man and a good friend to my grandfather, father and myself. Rest in peace Dick.

Can not believe it has been a year. Dick was a good man. Wish there were many more like him. I have a photo of Dick taken in the 1930s standing with his neighbors. If any of Dicks family would like a copy, notify me.
