Adele Nolon

Nolon, Adele LATHAM Adele Nolon peacefully passed away on September 16, 2015, surrounded by her family, at 93 years of age. She was born in Boston on June 21, 1922. Daughter of Eduardo and Ada Pierro and wife of 60 years of George H. Nolon (deceased). She is survived by her three daughters, Valerie McCombs, her primary family care giver, Villette Nolon and Na'ama Navon; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Adele graduated from Burdett College in 1940 and lived in Boston with her husband George before moving to the Capital District in 1953. Adele was well known in the business community and won awards for her high performance as the district manager of the Welcome Wagon from 1960 - 1972 and the sales manager for Standard Furniture Rentals from 1972 - 1990. After retirement, she was a host at the Albany Airport. Full of fun and vivacious, she enjoyed dancing, music, traveling, entertaining in her home and visits to the casino with her dear longtime friend and helper, James Yamin. She was especially close to her grandson, Dimitri McCombs, and enjoyed the extra attention and support from her son-in-law, Allen McCombs. The family would like to offer special thanks to the staff at the Loudonville Home for Adults and the Gerald B. Levine Memory Care facility in Loudonville and Marybeth Halayko for her friendship to her and support to the family. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 20, 2015, at 5 p.m., in the Bowen & Parker Brothers Funeral Home, 97 Old Loudon Road, Latham, NY 12110. Friends are invited to attend and may also visit with Adele's family, at the funeral home, on Sunday prior to the service from 2 until 5 p.m. A Rite of Committal and interment will take place on Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. in the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Macular Degeneration Society in care of the funeral home office.
