Alan Woolf Obituary
ALBANY - Alan S. Woolf, 74, of Albany, passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at home.
Alan was born in Portland, Maine, the son of Harold and Sylvia (Swartz) Woolf. He is survived by his sister, Karen.
Alan grew up in Maine, went to Syracuse University and became an accountant. He was employed by Albany International, Matthew Bender and NYS. After he retired, he volunteered for many different organizations.
He loved spending time in Maine and taking long walks with his beloved pets Jake, Tux and Oobea. He also has a great passion for music, Broadway plays and loved his Stewart's sandwiches.
Alan easily made friends. Just some who will especially miss his laugh are Leonard, Pat Vona and family, Judy Hard (Steve), Sal Sturiale (Natalie), Gloria, Maryann, Mary Ellen, David, Steven, Becky and aunts, uncles and cousins from around the world.
Friends and family are invited to call from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, in the Wm. J. Rockefeller Funeral Home, 165 Columbia Tpke., Rensselaer, N.Y. 12144. A Memorial service will follow at 5:30 p.m., in the funeral home.
Donations should be sent to Mohawk Hudson Humane Society.

I have known Alan since we were little, and neighbors on Dartmouth Street. We went to the same schools from kindergarten through Portland High School. Alan was very special, and will be greatly missed. RIP Alan
