Albert Rand Obituary

Rand, Albert K. CLIFTON PARK Albert K. Rand, 71, of Clifton Park passed away suddenly at his residence on Wednesday, October 25, 2017. Born in Troy, he was the son of the late Jason and Irene Schermerhorn Rand. He graduated from Cohoes High School, class of 1964, and was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He retired from the U.S. Postal service on New Karner Road, Colonie. He is survived by his wife, Carol Dufort Rand of Clifton Park; his niece, Tina Rand; and his best friend, Michael Davis. The funeral service will be held on Monday, at 7:30 a.m. at the Dufresne Funeral Home, Inc., 216 Columbia St., Cohoes, with Deacon Gerard Matthews officiating. Interment will follow in the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m.
